Westboro to "super pickit" Aurora vigil

huffington post is reporting that Westboro Baptist Church is planning a mass pickit at the candle light vigil for the victims of the theater shooting. they are now tweeting with the name "ThankGodfortheshooter".

That is just plain freakin SICK!

I believe in free speech.. but to cheer for one's death--- including the deaths of children is just EVIL! So much for christian love

Someone should shoot the Phelps clan. They make me wish there was a hell because they for sure would go there.

These people are just bottom-feeders. And the media seems to always give them a forum too.

At some point they're going to "picket" the wrong funeral & nobody is going to give a damn.

So, now they are "Pro random acts of violence?" Or are they just picketing to generally tout their messed up views?

I suspect at this point it is less about god and more about attention for themselves.

They are claiming that the world is evil... it is full of war and other works of the devil. Anyone who tries to destroy our society in any way is supposed to be a servant/messenger of God.

I guess no one told them that if God wanted people dead, he would send down some fire and brimstone like he did with sodom & gomorrah... not send in a guy with spray paint in his hair to kill parents/children!

They either have a very twisted view of their own chosen religion or they get their jollies from the attention. And they're all related to each other, Chris. It's a family who uses the "church" name to maintain a tax exempt status. They scammers AND scum. There's an article about them at the SPLC site. It's fairly long but very detailed.

I lived with fruit bats in Guatemala. Tho they were annoying, hanging on our palm thatched roof in the dark eating fruit and dropping the seeds on us as we slept, they were not despicable like the Phelps clan.
