Would you consider seriously dating somebody who was just recently released into society (within the last year) after a long stint* in jail/prison? If no, would it make a difference if this person was gainfully employed and had his/her own transportation and place to live, and seemingly didn't need any help getting on their feet?
*Long stint=years. The offense wasn't akin to murder or child molestation--it was something done possibly after a traumatic experience, or they were just on the wrong side of the tracks hanging with the wrong crowd and was the one who got busted, or something such as that.
