The best thing about your mother is/was what?
She is my mother - gotta love her.
The worst thing about your mother is/was what?
She is set in a stereotypical mindset as to what gender role assignment was. (didn't like that I took typing instead of mechanical drawing or shop for a practical arts class)
She was racist, tho that changed after I disowned her for a while, until she accepted my black wife.

My Mom is gone to heaven but the best things about her were her love and caring, her generosity, her kindness and understanding, her wisdom and gentleness. I can't say enough good things about her. When she left us I nearly died myself, I was grief stricken for a very long time, she was my best friend.
Worst things, well Mom and I had our moments where we would argue or not agree on something but for the most, she was an angel.
