Both my husband and I go at least every 3 months, that's as long as the dr will give us our prescriptions for. We've been known to go more often, if needed. If we don't go for a while his office will call and say he wants to see us. I think he wants to know we are still alive. Here in BC we do have to have insurance, normally paid by the employer, but since we are retired and since we can pay for the insurance we pay $116.00 per month and that covers us both and all drs visits as well as any hospital care. Fair Pharmacare helps us pay for prescriptions depending on income, They start at a certain point paying 80%, then shortly after we reach that point they pay 100%.
