The article about the python prompts me to ask:

Would you be willing to live in an area where certain wild animals (snakes, coyote, bobcats, etc.) are known to inhabit?

No way. I am just realizing how many dangerous animals there are by my dad's house and I am very uneasy about all that.

Move to Florida Red. The alligators ate all the bears and the pythons are getting rid of the alligators. Blue Cool

We have Cougars, Bears, Moose and Deer Before you question how dangerous a deer is believe me they can kill a man with their hooves. Yes it is more likely that the deer will run from a man but if cornered they can be very dangerous. Just a couple of years ago 5 bears were killed by the authorities 3 blocks from us. Also a couple of years ago a bear got into our trash and put a dent in our skirting. The skirting was fixed, and I cleaned up the mess he made. It was getting on to fall and maybe he was just trying to stop himself up in anticipation of winter as he left the watermelon rinds in favor of the paper towels I use to clan the electric griddle each morning after I make my husbands breakfast.

BTW, this just made the news in Florida yesterday. A 17 foot 7 inch python weighing 160 pounds.

Still, Alan's NJ wildlife looks more dangerous.

By the way that Python was preggers, did they let her have all those babies? Are Pythons one of the ones that give live births?

Oops it says she was carrying a record number of 87 eggs.

I assume they destroyed the 87 eggs. Pythons in the Glades are a major ecological problem.
