    Food Kid-friendly meals

What would you consider to be 'kid friendly' meals? And do you think they're even necessary for kids?

One that the kid doesn't have to eat while sitting next to a man he doesn't know on an airplane? Shrugs (Oh well…)

When my son was younger, I tried to make some meals fun. I cut hot dogs to look like a big octopus, made ants on a log (celery, pb and raisins), green eggs and ham and other silly things like that. When he would be giving me flack about a certain fruit or veggie, the next time I served the item, I would let him use a toothpick as a utensil.

Some argue making food "fun" like that sets a precedent for kids to view meals as a reward. I disagree with the theory because it was only a matter of eating what he would already be eating, but making it more fun.

Chicken fingers and fries. Are they necessary, absolutely not.

As soon as our kids had enough teeth they ate want we ate, they actually preferred thing like Spaghetti and chili the very tasty things. There was no way I was going to cook 2 meals.

Chicken nuggets and corn dogs. They're cool...just not everyday.
