In an office setting, do you prefer piped in music overhead, or would you rather there be quiet?

The only opinion I have on the matter is I can't stand when the music piped in is a radio station. There is no excuse for a business not to have a C.D. player these days. You have to love being somewhere and one of their competitor's radio ads comes on. Such a marketing blunder many businesses make.

Depends on my mood. If they music is annoying, I would rather it be quiet.

If I can't choose what music is coming through, I'd rather for it just to be quiet.

I agree that radio stations can be tacky in a subtle office environment, especially if said radio station is a little too rowdy in theme. For the most part, I don't really care that much.
