    Do you notice inconsistencies in movie/tv show settings? If someone is driving down the Vegas strip, and they start showing the hotels out of the actually order (the movie casino had them all out of order).. do you realize it, and does it bother you?


    I was watching Sopranos today and Pauly Walnuts tells Tony that he's "on the garden state" (meaning the GS Parkway)... then they show him pumping gas... which does not happen in NJ. Then they state they took the NJ Turnpike to get there.. but that's not the road they took.

    IDK... its cool to show real places, but when you deviate from the truth with things that anyone in the state would know, then it kinda takes away from it for me. like... "you already want me to believe an unbelevable story, now you want me to just ignore shit that i've known my whole life" lol

    I see that all the time here in Miami and you just have to accept that it is fiction.

    Like Miami Vice. That nice headquarter building they showed is actually a shipping company over by the Miami River. I took some still fotos of it in the '80s. And they often were doing details on Miami Beach which is a whole separate city NOT connected to Miami. So, unless Miami Vice was with the Miami-Dade County police they would have no jurisdiction on Miami Beach. Things like that ppl elsewhere don't even think about.

    The recent movie Bullet to the Head had some location shots in New Orleans and I was even surprised that the made reference to the Garden District neighborhood when they were actually in that neighborhood. Some location ppl must have done their homework so that locals wouldn't be put off by blatant errors.

    It doesn't bother me unless it's major. There's a lot of instances in which they don't really do their homework. (And then people judge your work for just a few perceived unlikelihood . haha)

    It doesn't really bother me, it makes me laugh. On Revenge they are supposed to be in the Hamptons Long Island when in reality they are filming in North Carolina and Los Angeles.

    Unless you're Paulie Walnuts! I wouldn't want to be the pump jockey telling him he can't pump his own gas. Although he doesn't seem the type who would want to.

    I don't ever notice... TV shows/movies don't get filmed in areas I know.
