Sometimes but we're randomly call monitored so you can only fake so much. They know when we're busy and when we aren't.

The only time we may have to front like that is when we're visited by people from corporate. Then it's be (or look) busy at all times. Otherwise, it's not a big deal if things are slow and you're obviously bored. Hell, I casually chat with the supervisors on a semi-regular basis. It's only an issue when things are busy, but for some reason you're not.

A little bit, but not really. Quite frankly, my "superiors" don't have the authority to fire or suspend me so I don't worry too much about them.

Not really. My job can be snail slow at times, that's just something that everyone there has to reconcile and find a way to cope with. No need to pretend.

I work alone so it does not matter how busy I am.
