| This week my son has started making inroads to crawling. Playing with one of his toys in his playpen, he mistakenly threw it to the other side. He does that often and normally begins to screech, but a few days ago when he did it, he sort of looked up at me, waiting for me to hand it to him. When I didn't, he slowly began to reach and scoot towards it. He moved a few inches, but didn't make it all the way and started to whine. So I went ahead and grabbed it for him, but part of me almost didn't. When my mother-in-law babysat not too long ago, she said he did the same thing. | |

| I think you may be right. My daughter is about to start her sophomore year next week. It'll only be a matter of time before he's starting preschool. | |

| You are in trouble now, pretty soon he will get on his feet and life as you know it will change profoundly! I'm sorry to tell you this but his world needs to grow,he needs to explore, in other words ditch the play pen. | |

| Hope you are there when he gets tired of crawling and ventures into his first upright steps.
I had that privilege once and I wasn't even the parent. I was doing training at a day care center for DD children, when this one little rugrat decided to stand up. Next thing I know he takes a four step sprint across the room then plops on his ass.
It is kinda thrilling to witness such human milestones taken the first time. | |

| How exciting! I can remember when my son was an infant, I wanted so badly for him to be mobile with toys all around to watch him play and explore. It's so fun. | |

| Pretty cool brother, before you know it he will be standing and walking and getting into all kinds of mischief as he explores on his own. | |
