Have you ever experienced your privacy having been deliberately invaded? If so, by who and what did they do?

I had my credit card stolen online once and the sucker charged over 5,000 dollars on it. Good thing I was not responsible for it. Now I have an alert on my credit card if I am going to charge a large amount I have to call them and tell them or they will call me and ask me if its o.k. Its a bit annoying but worth it in the end.

Our credit card got canceled on us because the company decided all the things on our Amazon account couldn't POSSIBLY be ours and they never bothered calling us to let us know there were suspicious charges OR that they dropped us. We found out when we had a dozen things on Amazon ordered but NOT paid for. What the hell is wrong with THOSE people?

They are supposed to contact you before making that kind of decision.

Well you know that and I know that, but apparently somebody didn't tell them that was part of their job. And it's not like it was expensive stuff, just a bunch of $4 or $10 items in a row.

Hmmm. I can't think of anything to the point where it's been offensive. My mother is a snoop.....she went through my closet last year and organized everything I had (she said she was doing me a favor by cleaning it out), which meant she saw my porn, my bank statements, check stubs, condoms, etc. I didn't mind too much cause I know she's just nosy.
