I think so and I think it was worth staying over in the Middle East long enough to kill Bin Laden, but they said the war should've been over once Gadhafi was killed so why the hell are they still over there? Is it EVER going to end? We're coming up on 10 years since the whole mess started next year, keep it up and this is going to outlast Vietnam.

It was a personal vendetta of a fucked up ignorant prez. Saddam was a brutal despotic dictator, just the kind of leader that backward hellhole needs.
Compare the number of ppl whose death he was responsible for with the number who have died due to tribal infighting since he was removed. Not ever nation on this planet is ready for democracy and that is most of the middle east. A brutal strongman is necessary to control all the militant factions and that was Saddam Hussein.

Pointless war and when I think about the silly excuse that was used to justify it ("weapons of mass destruction") I . All the lost lives of US soldiers wasnt worth Saddams death.

I would say none of the wars that America has been involved in since WWII were worth it.

No and no. Killing Saddam was a big mistake because he was able to control the different religious factions in Iraq , something the US wasn't able to do. They are still killing each other. It was estimated that in 25 years Saddam killed about 500,000 of his people, the US managed to kill more in less time and Iraq and the US neither one are better off than before.

Just imagine if we still had all of the money from the war, not to mention the soldiers who sacrificed themselves. People want to point fingers... it is these wars that have put us in the state of economy that we are in!!
