Compared to 4 years ago when Bush was still in office, would you consider yourself better off today?

It's a struggle but certainly no worse. Bush decimated our economy & it's just going to take time to undo that damage. To think it could happen this fast is unrealistic & downright delusional. But I have hope for the future as long as the car elevator people don't get into office. If that happens we're fucked.

All things considered, I'm about the same.

Yes. I could list all the different ways, but it'd probably take too much time.

About the same. I was lucky enough to have a job four years ago and today I'm still still employed. But I do know a handful of people who are better off now. There's no question the overall economic condition today is better than it was in '08 when the country was on the brink of depression.

I am about the same, tho I took a 25% pay cut. But I live a frugal life so no great impact. In fact my daughter has been unemployed for about 2 years - that is the problem. Been helping her as I can.

Politics have had little to do with my everyday life but I AM better off than I was 4 years ago because 4 years ago I was still wasting my time stuck in college.

I'm worse off now, back in '08 I had 2 jobs with not nearly as much debt.
