Also known as My Son, the Vampire, and Mrs. Riley meets the Monster. I LOVE this movie, it is so funny and Arthur Lucan as Old Mother Riley is nothing short of hilarious. It's too bad his films aren't as popular in America as they are in England because this is great stuff. Has anybody else seen this movie?

Oh it's a very funny one. English humor even back in the 50s was a bit different than American humor though it seems to share with the 3 Stooges' variety of physical humor related sound effects, and they were able to get away with a bit more as far as the dialogue went than the Hays code would ever allow in American movies.

Certainly has an Ed Wood air to it. Looks like something they would have shown on MST3K.

I found Arthur Lucan's film debut as Old Mother Riley, even though she wasn't named until the second movie she did. But boy what a hilarious start! In my opinion, Old Mother Riley here is EVERY mother who has ever had a daughter go on a date.
