    In the new movie he's getting ready to film, The Dallas Buyer's Club. It's reported he's lost at least 30 lbs. I don't know about this method acting although it's not like he could wear a fat suit. He looks a lot worse than Tom Hanks did in Philadelphia.

    50 lost 50 lbs for a movie role. Guess it's somewhat admirable if someone is that dedicated to their career.

    Anyway, yea I think it takes a lot of dedication to the movie role.

    He doesn't look as bad as Matt Damon in Courage Under Fire though.

    Some stories can't be realistically told without going to some extreme. Still a little scary. I respect that kind of dedication to the role. The most dramatic weight loss is probably still Christian Bale in The Machinist.
