| Do any of you use a crock pot and leave it simmering overnight while you sleep or let it keep going while you're at work...or is that too much of a possible fire hazard for you? | |

| We tend to only use it on weekends so we're home. | |

| Not overnight, through the day. The only thing that cooks overnight is the Thanksgiving turkey in the oven. | |

| I've always left the crock pot going. Rarely overnight because the food would be done by morning. But started it in the morning & left the house? Sure. | |

| I have had 3 crock pots all of them cook the food faster than the recipe says. I am home when I use it. | |

| Not sure about leaving it on while the house was empty but I have seen my mom let things simmer in it over night. | |

| I should get one. I wouldn't have a problem with it either way. My mother would do both. | |

| I have a crock pot but I'd be too paranoid about possible fire hazards to leave it on overnight or while I was away for a long period of time. Tell you the truth, I rarely even use it. | |
