I don't care how large they are, I don't think it's enough. My friend is having 30 for Thanksgiving and is only having one of each. I suspect she is going to run out of meat. Or do you think she's planning well?

Is one large turkey and one large ham enough for 30 people?

I don't think so unless both the ham and the turkey are over 25 lbs each.

LOL, I was going to ask if those people factored in.
Does she plan on rationing? But never mind the menu, where is she going to fit 30 people? Are they eating in shifts? I guess she isn't going to have to worry about what to do with leftovers. Whoever does the carving better be a surgeon.

Are all 30 guests adults? Or will it be a mixture of adults and children?

Al, they have a huge house and will set up folding tables in the rec room.
Cheaps, no, not many kids. They majority of them will be adults with a few teens.
Shale, I can't say how many are vegetarians, but I am friends with a majority of her guest list and don't think any of the ones I know are.
I'll have to let you guys know how it goes for her.

I notice a lot at Thanksgiving dinners people eat less meat and a lot of the sides like sweet potatoes, stuffing, string beans, etc. At least that is the way it is at our Thanksgiving, people tend to take one of two slices of meat and fill up on the sides.
