Stopping a Wedding Empty
PostSubject: Stopping a Wedding   Stopping a Wedding EmptyMon Nov 26, 2012 4:24 pm

You know how in some movies and tv shows, there will be a wedding, and that part comes where they say "speak now or forever hold your peace", and someone barges in to sweep the girl off her feet to stop her from marrying the wrong guy?

I was wondering the other day, does that actually happen in real life? Has anyone ever been to a wedding where that has happened? Would anyone here ever do that? What would you think if you were the guy or girl who was left standing there?

Frankly, I don't think I'd ever have the courage to speak up. So how about yourselves? What do you guys think?

I've never been to one with that kind of drama although I wish someone had done it at my first wedding. Especially since I wanted to hike up the dress & run like hell. And honestly should have lol

Tony, I think that mainly happens in the soaps we watch. Smile

But I've never been to a wedding like that.

at chris' wedding to his ex.. the best man told him before the wedding not to do it. They almost came to blows right at the alter before the guests were there. After the wedding they stopped talking to each other for years... then, it didnt work out.. and chris regrets not listening to his friend...

but i wasnt there.. and never been to one like that. I did go to one where the mother of the bride screamed "hurry up and marry her, you waited long enough after knocking her up!" and this was before the ceremony also.. the bitch must have been drinking all morning! lol

It would be interesting to know if and when it has ever happened in real life! I would think someone would talk to the bride or groom in private prior to the ceremony.
