Dannielynn Birkhead (Anna Nicole's daughter is new Guess Kids Model

Dannielynn Birkhead, the 6-year-old daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead, is following on the heels of of her mom's modeling days: she's now the new face of Guess Kids.

You might remember Anna Nicole Smith's iconic Guess campaigns in the '90s, when the smoldering blonde took over from Claudia Schiffer as the face of Guess in 1992. Now her daughter has inherited the sizeable shoes of being a Guess girl -- at least, a Guess girl in the making.

"Dannielynn has the same playful spirit that her mother had on a set," Guess creative director Paul Marciano said in a statement of the images, which display the company's spring 2013 kids line on a sunny beach in Malibu.

Little Danniellyn, whom some say is the spitting image of her mother, was only five months old when Anna Nicole Smith was found dead of a drug overdose. Her friend Larry Birkhead gained full custody of Dannielynn soon after and has raised his daughter on his own.

She is such a cute little girl. I hope it all works out for her and the intentions with all this are genuine and she's not being exploited.

I'm concerned about her being exploited too. Holy hell she looks like her mother. It's incredible. Hope he's doing this for the right reasons but it makes me a little uncomfortable. She inherited her mother's estate, right? So her future is probably financially secure.

I think she did end up with the estate. I'm trying to remember though...wasn't a lot of it eaten up by lawyers when her father, Larry, had to battle Howard K. Stern in court?

I have always thought everything about Larry was genuine. I think he really loved Anna. I'm hoping this modeling endeavor is more to pay homage to her mother's history with Guess.

She's definitely better off with Larry than Stern. He didn't come across to me as the loving fatherly type. I generally don't care much about celebrity stuff but I had really hoped the tests would come back in favor of Larry. Not sure about the total cost of the court battle. There are probably still royalties & money coming in from ANS work. Just hope he knows what he's doing & when to cut it off. I can already see the sharks circling.

I found this whole case interesting. Especially when Stern AND Anna were insisting the baby was Stern's. Then along comes Larry, who at first looked like an opportunist, saying he's most likely the father. When it all ended he was and then he ended up being a good guy toward Stern, I had a lot of respect for him. The only worry I had is how much he seemed to be stuck on Anna after her death. One would assume after she denied him as the father, he wouldn't carry such a torch.

Eh. I don't so much mind 'a' photo shoot if it's being done as a way to honor, or commemorate, the mother that she never knew, but for her sake I hope that this is merely a one-time thing.

I heard an interview from him this morning, and that's exactly why they did this.

Good! She looks SO much like her mother I could see people attempting to exploit that. But a one time thing especially in honor of her mom is sweet.

I think the right man, (the one who wasn't feeding the childs mother drugs) won in the custody battle,I haven't seen a recent picture of the child, but noticed a few years ago how much she resembled her mother.
