In what may come as a surprise to no one, Lindsay Lohan is in trouble with the law again.

The "Mean Girls" and "Liz & Dick" star allegedly punched psychic Tiffany Mitchell at a nightclub in New York City and was arrested around 4 a.m. Thursday, TMZ reports.

According to the report, the two women were sitting in separate booths at Club Avenue in Manhattan's Chelsea section. Words were exchanged between the two, reportedly over Max George of British boy band The Wanted, whom was also at the club. Some time passed and Lohan allegedly punched Mitchell.

She did not require medical attention.

By the time police arrived, Lohan had reportedly left the club in a passenger car that was intercepted by officers who made the arrest. She has been charged with third-degree assault.

If Lohan is formally charged with the latest crime, it could result in a probation violation. She's on probation for stealing a necklace from a jewelry store last year.

It's the latest in a long string of brushes with the law for Lohan, and a particularly bad Thursday.

Later that day, she was charged with three crimes in connection with her car accident in Santa Monica last June.

In October, police were called to her childhood home on Long Island after a report of fight between her and her mother. An investigation revealed "no criminality."

I hate to say "never" because of people like Robert Downey Jr. but this is just waiting to happen. Luck's gonna run out on her eventually.
