| We kind of did, it wasn't like you always hear about on every Christmas movie, we didn't write letters, we never left milk and cookies out, there was never any specific present left 'from Santa', but it was a fun idea to believe in for a while. | |

| I guess I bot the story, but we didn't have a fireplace and no explanation how that fat guy was gonna get out of our oil burning stove. So my rational mind was questioning even tho I wanted to believe.
IDK what age I was when I found out my folks had lied to me - but within a decade I was questioning everything else they had told me.

So Santa had more than one reason he liked to sit you on his lap?

| Yes but I have more memories of struggling to believe that he was real after hearing rumors that he wasn't, as the logic behind his existence seemed less and less plausible. | |

Of course we were so anxious, by Christmas morning we were up at 6 am...but my mother didn't play that. She was always yell out her room: "You two better not open up a damn thing until I get up!!" Waiting that extra hour or so until she got up was hell.....LOL.
