Do you delete them right away or let them pile up until your box is full?

How long do you keep messages on the voicemail/answering machine?

Never. I've got an old magtape system that has limited space. I guess older messages just get bumped off the other end as it fills up.
(Hmm, maybe I should look behind the machine to see if a little pile of message shit is there.)

Depends on the importance of the message. If I was too lazy to write down a phone number or something, I'll probably save it for a bit but otherwise *delete*.

If it was a loved one's last words to me, I would save them as long as I could. Don't know if that's your case, Tony but I can't think of another message I would want to keep for that long.

I have my father's voice on the voice mail and also, while he was alive there were so many health agencies calling me I had to save their numbers so I would not forget them if I didn't write them down. I hope no one ever has to experience that, its no fun let me tell you.

May let some of them sit for a while, but once a week I'll go through and clean them out.

I delete them right away. I may listen more than once, if there is something I need to write down from the message.

On one of my old phones, I had saved a voice mail my daughter sent me when she was like 6 that was cute....but that phone has since been replaced. I pretty much on save important and more "formal" messages, then delete them after I touch bases with whoever it was that sent it.
