Does anyone here still have, or use, an answering machine? Yesterday my wife and I went to visit her aunt and uncle, and I was a little shocked to see that they still had one attached to their phone.

Yep, still got one hooked to my landline phone. (Laff if you want but I remember a hurricane that knocked out all cell service in South Florida. I called my family up north on my 'old fashioned retro tech' fone to laff about that.)
Researching how much it will cost to get one that has caller ID, since ppl are getting around all the loopholes in that "No Call List" that I am on.

Ours is part of the phone too. Even has a nice male voice to tell people they can leave a message.

Not since about 1993. Voice mail is to answering machines what cell phones are to payphones.

We don't have any messaging system on our landline. I figure if they are important they will call the cell and leave a message.
