    Well, not to count my great grandson before he's hatched but the water broke this morning the epidural given and 8 cm and counting as this is typed. So, be here soon.

    Baby was due on Thursday, but I said it would be most convenient to have it come on Christmas. Now I am to blame for jinxing the birthday that will always be overshadowed by another b'day.

    My daughter is ecstatic about becoming a grandma at 45. I am admittedly an old man but the title great-grandpa sorta brings it home. blank stare @ you

    Just got a call from my daughter. Aiden Carter Lankford is here.

    She hasn't seen him yet - I'll assume he has 10 fingers, 10 toes, 1 penis, 1 nose or someone woulda said something.

    Oh, Shale! Kudos to you and your family for such a handsome little guy! I bet you can't wait to see him if you have not already!

    He looks around ten pounds? He looks about the same size as my son when he was born which is why I am guessing ten.

    His name is so wonderful and masculine. What a kiddo!

    Nah he was only 7 pounds 11 ounces. But everything seems to be OK. IDK when I will get up there to see him or when they can make the trip down to Miami Beach.

    Doesn't seem all that long ago that I was taking pix of my first grandson (it's his baby) in the hospital.

    Oh, gosh, I was off on the weight!

    I bet it is amazing to see your grandson have his own little baby. It must do you really proud! I hope this little bundle of joy knows what a shutter bug his great grandfather is! He is in store for a lot of pics!
