Since everybody's had a few days to get back to normal, let's compare notes, how did you Christmas go?

Re: How was your Christmas?
Hit and Miss, but overall good.
The morning was a bit rushed but the "gift giving" part of Christmas was pretty good nonetheless.
The "Washington's Crossing" part was a total wash...
The jewish restaurant for dinner was terrific.

It was nice. We enjoyed the time spent together which included some trail riding on the ATVs since it was too snowy for the bikes. The boys rarely surprise me and this year that did, so the greedy part of me has to say, I was spoiled. It went by too fast, of course.

Re: How was your Christmas?
Well we had a great Christmas and we got the best surprise imaginable. My little niece who is now 20, came to see us at our house for the first time in 17 years when her rat bastard father got his lawyer to fix it up that she wasn't allowed to set foot near the place. Since we only see her about twice a year, we were expecting her coming to our house again to be really weird and awkward but it was as natural as if she'd always been here. My mother summed it up perfectly, she's been gone, but she never left. Her father tried to make sure she had nothing to do with us and didn't turn out anything like us, but she is exactly like us and now that his reign of terror is over, that means whenever she's out of school again she can come HERE, instead of to a neighbor's house on the next block. It is GREAT!

Re: How was your Christmas?
Christmas Eve was chaotic and wonderful as always with my huge dysfunctional family. Christmas Day was quieter since some of the family splits up. It was a nice Christmas, this was our first Christmas without our Dad. Even though he was what he was we still felt his presence missing.
