| Do you think presidential inaugurations should have religious components, like speakers and prayers? | |

| Well, Obama sure picked a couple of asswipes for both of his. IDK what he was thinking or who did not research the hellfire & brimstone hate guy or the homophobe that he chose for his two inaugurations and then had to scrap them after the embarrassment.
If it is his religion then a Bible would be appropriate. Likewise, if a person was not religious then a religious book would be ridiculous - better to swear on the Constitution or something more relevant. | |

| I say leave it up to the presidential elect. Most will probably keep it in to look good. The good ones will keep it in so they can live it. | |

| A presidential inauguration should be no different than members of Congress. It should be up to them. We had buddhist & hindu members sworn in this time. The buddhist with no book & the hindu congresswoman with the Bhagavad Gita. | |

| And Kyrsten Sinema was sworn in using a copy of the Constitution which was really cool. We had some diversity this time. | |

| I agree with it being up to the elected. If he wants to have a religious or spiritual element to his inauguration, then it's fine. | |
