The "would you quit over money" thread has got me to wondering. When you first STARTED you current job, did you immediately start making plans of things to spend your first pay check on? I actually wrote down a list of things I was gonna buy the day I began my current job! lol

my checks are always spent before i get them. seems like no matter how much overtime i work (completely giving up a life all together)... i just cant catch up. seems like there is always some major thing that pops up and i cant get ahead

There wasn't a gap between my current job and my previous job. I started the current just a few days after my old one was done so I wasn't unemployed long enough to start dreaming of things to buy. It was business as usual.
