Previews for the week of 21-Jan-2013
by Carol Banks Weber
- No GH Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, because of the presidential inauguration.
- A.J. and Michael work together as a father/son team to beat Tracy for ELQ. Johnny has pertinent, damaging information about Tracy and her ties to the mob, which could greatly aid in that endeavor.
- Michael uses his influence on Johnny to roll over on Tracy.
- Sonny and Carly get their hands wet in the ELQ caper too.
- Tracy prevails upon Sonny to join in her ELQ fight.
- A.J. gives Carly a heads-up that he did not hide what she did at the Floating Rib — or after — when opening up on what he did when speaking with Michael. Specifically, her troubling attempt to push A.J. into picking up the vodka again.
- Tracy has Ned on her side in the ELQ grab. They turn up the scheming against A.J./Michael.
- Todd Manning shares with his BFF Johnny what he plans to do to evade the prison part of the law.
- John McBain encourages Sam to let the law have its way with Todd.
- Olivia pops up in Connie’s life, checking up and catching up. They rejoice in some glorious news (wedding bells).
- At first, Connie believes Sonny put Olivia up to babysitting her.
- Olivia sets Connie straight about her visit.
- Olivia’s explanation from the heart moves something deep inside Connie, with higher regard for Sonny.
- Sonny and Connie get to better know, appreciate and maybe more than like each other, with Trey’s passing as the tie that binds. Their coming together proves tentative, tricky, and tremulous.
- Connie still can’t get over her skepticism that Sonny is at all on the level with his concern. She puts him through the wringer to prove himself.
- Kristina skips through all the phases of grief and jumps on revenge.
- Not even Starr can help Kristina deal with losing Trey so young. Kristina would rather take action, against Trey’s mom.
- Kristina mourns Trey by putting Connie in the crosshairs.
- Sonny and Anna swap notes about their dramatic ups and downs in the relationship department.
- Anna brings Luke up to date about the goings-on with Faison, his face melting, and Robert Scorpio going down.
- Luke talks to Duke Lavery about Anna. Seems Luke remains intent on winning Anna.
- Luke begs Anna to let him make it up to her and hit restart on their shaky relationship.
- Emma sees Sabrina hanging out at Kelly’s Diner and goes straight to her friend, happy as a clam.
- Patrick heads Emma off, trying to make his daughter understand that Sabrina is no longer in their lives.
- In Patrick’s mind, he must’ve done something untoward and forward to make Sabrina flee from them.
- Patrick may still be suffering from the trauma of losing Robin, his wife. He’s become quite a moron lately, completely unable to see Britt for the Narcissist she really is. This week, he stupidly puts Emma in Britt’s care. He, and more importantly Emma, will pay for that mistake in judgment.
- Emma doesn’t respond positively when Patrick previews what an awesome day Britt has in store for the little girl.
- Emma expresses dislike for Britt to her dad, Patrick. But he dismisses her as a child who doesn’t know any better.
- Britt naively thinks her perfect day with Emma will win her points with Patrick and get the little girl on her side.
- Patrick takes Elizabeth aside to unburden himself about Sabrina.
- Felix’s suggestion to move on with another guy to love weighs heavily on Sabrina. She talks it out with Elizabeth.
- When on an outing, a petulant Emma has a temper tantrum in front of the whole world, because she would rather be babysat by the kind Sabrina than Brittch.
- Britt reaches out to be nicer than normal to Emma. But Emma shuns her.
- Instead of behaving in a mature fashion, like most normal grown-ups would, Britt sinks down to a child’s level and fights back with Emma.
- Britt doesn’t give two figs what Emma thinks. Britt only cares about her Patrick conquest, and lets Emma know this in no uncertain terms.
- Furious with Britt, Emma takes off, becoming a missing person case for Patrick.
- Britt loses track of Emma, sending Patrick into a tailspin.
- Maxie begs Dr. Britt to implant her with Lulu and Dante’s last embryo. But the doctor informs Maxie, after an exam, that she’s already pregnant and it must’ve happened after the miscarriage.
- Maxie asks if Dr. Britt wasn’t mistaken about that miscarriage after all.
- Dr. Britt firmly reasserts that Maxie did suffer a miscarriage and this pregnancy had to have happened after.
- Maxie then believes she is carrying Spinelli’s child and proceeds to go to inform all the parties involved.
- Dr. Britt might use Maxie’s pregnancy by Spinelli as leverage in the near-future.
- Maxie is all fired up to tell Spinelli she’s carrying their child when she sees him back in a full relationship with the recovering Ellie.
- But as for Lulu and Dante, Maxie (unbelievably) will do anything to keep this pregnancy truth from them, with her doctor’s consent.
- Spinelli might very well man up and confess to Ellie that he went ahead and drunkenly made love with Maxie that night. When he does, it’s over.
- Epiphany expresses her annoyance with Felix.
