Old Mother Riley, MP (1939) Empty Old Mother Riley, MP (1939)

Finally got around to watching another movie on the Old Mother Riley pack I got for my birthday. Undisputed, Arthur Lucan was a comical genius. And here's humor that you won't find made in the USA anytime soon. Old Mother Riley gets sacked from her employment at the laundry, and when she finds out her boss and landlord, Wicker, is running for MP, she runs too, and manages to win. In contrast to every other movie and show showing the main character running for office, she actually had a plan to fulfill her campaign promises, though it meant calling in a 50 million pound loan from the country of Rocavia, but oooooooohhhh it's too bad we don't have real people like her in office, not only would we see results for the common folk, there'd be plenty to laugh at as well.

It's very funny, you need to look into it if you can.

I saw some on Amazon, which are good? Oh and what volumes do you have in the One Step Beyond series?

I recommend the British Cinema Collection, that's the one I have.

As to One Step Beyond, I have the Best Of collection but I don't know which individual volumes I got for Christmas.
