Either that (usually depression) or poor education.
However, 'poor hygiene' is a relative term and shouldn't be confused with those ppl who are quite clean but don't perfume themselves (the opposite problem) or who allow their natural fragrance (underarm smell) to go undeodorized.

Maybe. Or maybe they just falsely think being "natural" is an excuse for funk.

I think poor hygiene is a vague term, where does it begin and end? By some people's standards I might have because I wash my hair once or twice a week instead of every day like some people (what the hell?)

I dont wanna say absolutely that it is but when I think about people I knew who were never looked clean and always smelled, they always seemed like they had "issues".
