How has the winter been affecting you thus far? Have you been late, had to shovel, caught a cold, had any road trouble, etc., etc.?

Just had to shovel nothing else severe so far. Snow coming tonight again, tomorrow's commute should be fun.

Had to shovel once so far. If that's as bad as it gets, I have no complaints.

I've been late to work few times, few minor colds, and had to drive in it.

I currently have laryngitis and I've had car trouble, but it wasn't due to the weather.

I had planned to see 3 movies this weekend.
However, after so many warm sunny days this winter, a front is coming thru this whole weekend with cold and rain - not my ideal for biking to the Cineplex.
Looks like a break in the rain and not yet cold so I may go anyhow. I can bike in cold and I can bike in summer rain, but cold rain is just miserable and I usually just stay indoors.

I've been late to work a few times on days when it was snowing and I didn't know it until I stepped out the house. Had to shovel a few times too.

No. It's been a very mild winter here except for a 2-wk cold snap in early-January. I feel fortunate. But illnesses are another matter; most of my friends, and a lot of neighbors, have been sick with flu and nasty colds, and so far so good for me. I did get a flu shot, and I don't leave the house unless I want to.

Its been very mild here as well! BUT the flu was soooo bad this year. I was sick for about five weeks.. and everyone at work was just passing it along!
SHALE:::: No more rubbing it in that you are in great climate!! LOL Most of us are freezing... i really havent had snow.. but 3 degrees is not my idea of fun. Although, one day it can be like 10 degrees and the next day almost 60!

Actually, I saw all three movies I had planned and only got rained on once, on the way home from the Cinema, which is OK since I can take a hot shower as soon as I get in.
Saturday it was cold (cool by your standards - upper 40s) and not bad for biking wearing a flannel shirt and shoes. Didn't even need the insulated vest I carried in my backpack.
Yesterday it warmed up and today at 6:30 I biked in to work wearing shorts and tank top - back to normal for a while.

Not much snow but constant cold, rain, sleet & freezing rain, which we have again today. It hasn't been as horrible as previous winters but I'm ready for spring.
