| Even though it hasn't been as blissful and virtually non-existent as last years winter was, still I feel like we've gotten off very easy again this year. What's going on? Are we done with brutal winters? | |

| All things considered, yes, I think it's been reasonably mild on average. | |

| Very mild where I'm at. Last year our winter was better than our spring, and I think that will be the case again this year. We have sucky springs here. | |

| Last years winter was much milder than this winter. We only had 1 major snowstorm and after the 3rd week of January temps were not bad at all. | |

| Last years winter was truly bizarre. It was as though, after fall, the earth leapt right over winter directly to spring. This year there has been slightly more snow, but much of it hasn't stuck and the cold hasn't been especially bitter. By and large, this winter season been relatively mild as well. I'm chalking it all up to climate change. | |

| It's been mild, but we're totally not out of the woods yet. You got another 4-6 weeks to anticipate some real winter snowstorms. | |

| More mild than usual here. I am in Portland OR. I feel sorry for the people back East though. | |

| Not compared to last year, we've had about 16 inches of snow since New Year's. | |

| It was a basic Winter. Last year was an anomaly. 2 years ago we had tons of snow all season. The only climate change we have is the natural erratic nature of the weather. Whenever we get a mild winter, it's blamed on climate change. If we get an unusually cold winter, also climate change? I'll just chalk it all up to the weather being an indecisive mess.
But really, this was the picture of an average winter, IMO. Not Spring-like mild but not consistently arctic either.

| SHM. Climate change is a proven fact (just like evolution) and is directly linked to changing trends towards more extreme weather. | |

| Pretty much. We've had a few surprise snow storms, but nothing that overwhelming and 2 days later the temp rises to almost warm. We're not out of the woods yet but after next week, I'll be ready to assume the worse is behind. | |

| Mild for us too, even though we just had a storm drop about 10 inches. Ugh, won't be on the ground for long, were gonna be in the mid 60's by Wednesday.
I'm so ready for spring though.
