Re: Desktop or Laptop?
I own a Dell tower which is my usual online connection. I also have a large IBM Notepad laptop that I never use, but keep it as a backup if my Dell ever goes down. I have plugged it in and used it online - tho the keyboard is a pain.
I also have a little portable computer that uses Wifi and I have gone online with it just to see if it works, but the keyboard is even smaller and harder to use than the large laptop. It was supposed to travel with me, but hotels usually have a nice courtesy access online that it is unnecessary.

I have a desktop and an Asus net-appliance, which I despise but I still use it more only because it's mobile. Much prefer the desktop, otherwise.

Re: Desktop or Laptop?
I have a laptop, but of course my first computer was a desktop. It's funny...six months ago, I would've told you I totally prefer laptops....but I've been using the desktop computer at work more often and I actually miss having one. I actually miss the space of sitting at a actually desk and "being" on the computer. My laptop now is still in pretty good shape, but I was in the market for another computer soon. I think the next one I get is going to be a desktop.

Re: Desktop or Laptop?
Desktop. I have an older hand-me-down laptop but I haven't turned that on in ages. I too prefer having a particular space set up. i.e. a desk.
