For me it was Halloween, it was just a plain scary movie!

Totally, and a bit more believable than Friday...in fact it's been said Halloween was loosely based on a real case of this guy locked in an asylum, he and others broke out, the others got caught but he almost killed his sister by the time the cops caught up to him.

Definitely Halloween. F13 was as much a bite as Jeannie was Bewitched.

I haven't seen either. I don't like horror movies! They scare me too much. I even used to be squeamish during ER!

I like Friday better. The Halloween movies bore the shit out of me! Knife toting Myers is so slow moving compared to machete toting Vorhees.

Hell yeah. Add the fact that Jason had crazy, superhuman strength...it was almost ridiculous. I've seen him just pick someone up by the head and squeeze it so hard, his skull collapsed. Then he was a true marksman. He could throw a knife from 500 yds away or some shit and it would go straight through your heart...spot on. He's always scared the shit out of me. One of the reasons I don't really care for horror movies period. I can go the rest of my life without watching one.

Exactly Ny. I'd take my chances with Michael, but with Jason you may as well just accept certain death.

I like Halloween better because it has more of a plot. With all the quick, random, explicit kills, Friday the 13th is like the horror equivalent to porn (except you can't masturbate to it.)

"Halloween" by a long shot. I only saw the original "Friday The 13th" movie, and I hated it. "Halloween" is a horror classic. It's still effective if you watch in the dark alone at night.

I wouldn't be too sure about that, I'm sure there's somebody out there who could.

Indeeeeed....for that matter, does Friday the 13th even have theme music? Halloween does, Nightmare on Elm Street does, Jaws does, Psycho does, but Friday the 13th just seems to have that ch ch ha ha sound for its trademark.

Sure it does, Harry Manfredini wrote the music to most of them, pretty scary music too!

Not very catchy though, are they?
And II sounds like a cross of Psycho and Jaws.

They are creepy but not as good as the original Halloween Theme. There is even different versions of that as well.

I only saw the original Halloween. Never saw any of its sequels. I've seen multiple installments of the Friday series. If I had to choose between the two, I'd probably go with Friday. It's gory, campy fun.

even though i've seen all of them, including the many sequels (only one i haven't seen is the F13 remake) but I find Halloween much more scarier. The idea that someone just going after you and you have no idea why is pretty messed up.

Halloween stands up better today IMO, F13 has aged worse.

The F13th remake was pretty bad, check it out on cable sometime, it has its moments but overall it sucked, the original is better.

By the way have you seen the Gingersnaps Movies?
I have to get around to watching the F13 remake sometime soon. Where I'm sure to regret it later.
I've seen all 3 Ginger Snaps movies, and like them a lot.

Yeah me too, part 3 was a bit strange going back in time but I still liked it.
