The clown thread made me think of this. Around here they are so popular in October. There are probably about 10 around me within an hour drive, if not more.

I don't like them at all. I had a close friend who loves them, so I would go with her because she would beg me. But I can not stand how close the people get to me and all the small spaces in complete dark.

So, who has been? Like or dislike?

I never have. Not my thing.

I don't know where any are, if I did I would definetly go. Last haunted house I actually saw (supposedly) was the house in the movie "Amityville Horror".

We don't have a lot of haunted houses where I live but they do things like graveyard tours and whatnot in the fall... okay - they do them all year round, but I guess they have special ones in the fall, though I've never gone. It's always one of things things I thought would be interesting, but I never get around to it.

When I was a kid, I remember there being a few but I haven't seen any in years. Imagine that still exist, but I'd have to seek them out and I'm not really that pressed. But if I caught one being advertised nearby I may would check it out.

It is funny that so many of you don't have a lot around. Here they are a big deal.

Six Flags Great Adventure has Frightfest every Halloween. I may go this year.....since I haven't been in a long time.

I went to one when I was around 8 years-old, and it scared the hell out of me! I wouldn't mind going to one this year, particularly if I had a date - that sounds like a fun date idea to me.

I went to one last night with my friends and my son. It wasn't too bad. Except for the first section. We were by these teen girls who were screaming and crazy afraid. They were so annoying and we let them get ahead of us when we had the chance.

My daighter went here a couple of times. She said it was good.

In an actual prison? That seems pretty cool. I know quite a few fans of haunted houses who would LOVE something like that.

There have been a few advertised but I have not gone to any. I think it would be fun.

I haven't been to one in a really long time. Guess it's just not my thing.

It's been a good minute (15 years+) since I last went to one, but from what I remember, they are fun.
