Waiting two days after you get the number to call, so you don't appear desperate. Do you follow that unspoken rule, men? Or ladies...if you're the pursuer. If you're the one pursued, does it bother when they wait a few days or do you appreciate the time?

I don't see any reason to wait 2 days to call someone. If you're interested and you have the time, call them later on that day....or even before they leave the parking lot. If I actually give you my real number, then I expect you to call sooner rather than later if you said you were going to.

I think guys who wait 2 days to call wind up looking as desperate as they fear. I usually ask him when he's going to call just to eliminate all that game play and expect him to abide by that. If he waits 2 or 3 days then I'm gonna think he wasn't interested and then I lose interest myself.

Waiting to call to not look desperate makes you look desperate. I usually call the same night I get a number, or the next day at the very latest.
