If she's living in my house, she sooooooo wouldn't want to continue living there. Since she's grown, there isn't much I can do about it. I would be HORRIFIED though. Not that I have anything against porn stars....cause hey, I'm watching someone else's daughter or son, but I'm not going to front and pretend I will be all liberal about it. And that goes for my son as well. I would be horrified to find out that any child of mine is doing porn.

I'd be mortified and would question how I failed as a parent to raise a child who thinks that it's justifiable to use and degrade their body to make money.

Come on there are worse things to be than a porn star. A drug dealer, a professional con, a career criminal, a C.P.A. I probably wouldn't be thrilled about my grown up kid working in X-rated film, but I wouldn't disown or shame them for it either. My only concern would be that they're practicing safer sex.

Because there are in fact WORSE things to do to make money than working in the totally legal (for adults) industry of porn! I see being "upset" over your kid working in porn just as silly as being upset that they decided to go into bar tending or singing. It's honest work.

Well most people see offering to degrade their bodies for money as not honest work and perfectly worthy getting upset over. Again, just cause there are worse things that can happen doesn't mean we have to accept something that still sucks.stonestatic wrote:

I'm guessing you don't have any kids. You know what? I would be proud to tell people 'my daughter is a bartender' or 'my daughter is a singer', but are YOU going to when people ask what your daughter does, say 'she does gang bangs and anal sex scenes in movies, you want to see some of her work? I think it's great stuff, I'm so proud of her'?

Which is odd because male on male porn is supposed to be a bigger business than straight porn, but since male homosexuality is still considered more of a taboo than lesbian porn, you don't hear about it as much.

I wouldn't be upset, but more leery about them making an indefinite CAREER out of it. Many porn stars do it for the money, to support school or their other interests. If my child had a plan for after porn and was just using it as a stepping stone to help them achieve those other goals, then I wouldn't so much mind.
