I heard the song a few weeks ago and thought that it wasn't anything special but the video is good and makes me appreciate the song more.

I thought her 15 mins was up? It's funny, I actually like her swagger, but I don't like her. Her music is so........blah. Lackluster. This looks like something Beyonce would do. Funny how she's paying tribute to her in video when she was just talking shit about her a while ago. In any case, it's cute. Both the song and the video is cool. I don't expect much more from Keri.

It's ok I guess. I'm more impressed that she finally put a song out that didn't have some featured guest.

Okay even if the song is stupid ("Do the 'Pretty Girl Rock'"?), there are 2 things I appreciate about it.

1. What Atown said....no cameos. That's BOLD for Keri.
2. It has a real, hard beat....instead of the typical hand clap snare or lame ass bamma finger snaps.

Even if the lyrics are ridiculous, the track sounds like something that could have played on the radio back when music was good.

I agree that lyrically it's dumb, but there's something about it that grabs you after two listens. First time I heard it, I dismissed it. Now it's in my head.

According to Wikipedia, she's paying homage to Josephine Baker, Dorothy Dandridge, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson and T-Boz.

The track is saved by its production, because lyrically it is foolish.

I love it. The chorus is infectious as hell!!! :biggrin:
I bet a dance remix of it would be even better.

I agree completely. The song is fluff but the sentiment behind it is starting to be a bit more believable for me. I can't believe how many people think what Beyonce does is original. You see how many comments about her pop up in that vid?

Ciara has reportedly unfollowed Keri Hilson's Twitter account after she made comments about her low album sales.

The singer, whose latest album Basic Instinct
entered the US album chart at number 44, is said to have deleted Hilson
from her micro-blogging page after she told radio station Power 105.1: "I would like to do higher that 35k - I mean anyone would."

Ciara
later tweeted: "Hear that a newcomer to power 105.1 morning show is
really into talking about me! I love it! Keep promoting me! Glad 2 know
i mean that much."

She later added: "While were off to this good day, let's have a toast to the douche bags, and have a toast for the assholes!"

Hilson's sophomore effort No Boys Allowed is predicted to sell 100,000 copies this week.

If she was talking about the host, then there is truth in what he said. Hanging around Kim Kardashian and the rest of the Hollywood hoe bags trying to be down with the 'in' crowd wasn't going to help you gain album sales. You need to call up Jazze and make up. Somebody post this on her twitter account so she can read it.
