Wow how embarrassing for her. She is basically washed up I think, I have no love for her anymore especially after her pity performance on the American Music Awards, she sounded horrible there too!

Angry Australians are funny. lol The way that guy just disgustedly walked away was priceless.
As for Whitney...
Yeah she mostly TALKS the lyrics of her songs now.

I was never that much of a fan, but as inescapable as she was for such a long time, I did appreciate her voice as a sort of force of nature. And she has made some songs that I liked. I remember her I'M YOUR BABY TONIGHT era, the way her smooth vocals glided effortless over the notes was on point. I just don't recognize her now. The Whitney that I once knew is gone. This is one of the great tragedies of the music world. A woman with a truly amazing gift deliberately killed it.

She's a mess. Listening to her croak her way thru a song these days like Macy Gray is depressing.

I agree that Whitney is depressing. I know I'm supposed to be cheering for her rising out of the depths of despair and all that, but I can't reconcile how well Whitney used to could sing with how she struggles today. As unrealistic as it is, I want "All The Man I Need" Whitney back. I'm not interested in adjusting to her vocal reality today.

I agree with you all. I WOULD like to cheer for Whitney's comeback and I WOULD actually do it if she still had the voice. That's what people want and expect out of her. That was her claim to fame. Without it, what is she? I like a comeback story just as much as anybody, but this isn't a comeback IMO. It's just a big old smokescreen masked as one.

Whitney's always done that. Even back when she still had a voice, she'd turn her songs into these weird conversational pieces with the audience...then midway through finally would belt a line or two. Judging from what I've heard from her during this comeback, she just wasn't ready. I have yet to hear her give a recent live performance that I thought was good. And I say this as someone who was once a fan.
