I think that school busses not having seat belts is over the moon idiotic.

Having to be 18 to buy cigarettes. It's not stopping anybody from smoking who's set on it, so what's the purpose?

Moving the clocks back or forward an hour twice a year. It upsets biorythms and causes an increase in accidents

For what? We got lighting now - don't need to rely on "saving" daylight.

(BTW, good point about preventing possible infection in a person who will be dead in a few minutes.)

I figure they do it just in case the governor does call in at the last minute but the condemned does die any way from a medical misadventure. But still.

But preemptively, Braille on drive-up ATMs. They do make sense. No, hopefully no blind person is going to drive up themselves, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be driven. This way they don’t have to entrust their PIN to anyone.
