There are dozens of reasons why relationships fail. I think that if your don't have love, communication and trust then the relationship is doomed.

To me, relationships are fascinating because in most cases (unless they start off as friends first or something) you're bringing two complete strangers together and seeing if they make things work as a romantic couple. I think relationships fail because of lack of acceptance. In my opinion, most people don't want to accept people who are different than them - and they're missing out because of it. I was once dumped by a man after I told him I was a Democrat - shows you how accepting he was! Of course, I'd rather be a Democrat than his girlfriend, lol.

A whole slew of reasons. Not compatible. Not sexually compatible. One party or the other is a damn drama queen/king. One party or the other gets bored. One party or the other falls out of love with the other. One party or the other finds out the other party is crazy as hell. One party or the other puts up a good front and doesn't show their true colors until later. Convenience in the relationship is no longer convenient. Can be anything.

I think one of the reasons one sees a lot is that people go into the relationship and stick it out (even marry) when it isn't great, because one or both parties think they can change the other.
Why the hell people thing that marriage is going to erase problems is beyond me.
