If you object to fly, why? Me....I can't imagine driving long distances. I either fly out of state, or I don't go.

Re: Objections to Flying
You mean object to the TSA and body scanner things? Or just flying in general?

Re: Objections to Flying
I enjoy flying. You can listen to music, sleep, read, they provide food, etc., etc.
The downside is having to wait for delayed flights, or missing yours and having to wait for the next. Still, I would much rather fly to somewhere twelve hundred miles away than to drive.

Re: Objections to Flying
It's probably part phobia, part I am a writer so I think about things way too deeply. It's just an uncomfortable feeling for me.
Plus, I get antsy on long car/bus rides and I know I'd get antsy cooped up in a plane. I also like being able to use a bathroom and plane bathrooms suck.
The "let's take a look at you naked or let's feel your junk up" fiasco has just added another reason not to fly.

plane bathrooms suck.
If they didn't, things would overflow.

Re: Objections to Flying
Yup. But I also don't mind driving if I had to. I'm used to taking road trips as well. But flying is much quicker and I'm the type of person that likes to get where I'm going. Unless I can't get a reasonable plane ticket to somewhere out of town that's more than 500 miles, I'm flying.Chris wrote:I enjoy flying. Re: Objections to Flying
OK, serious answer. If it takes longer than a day to drive there, I'll fly. I'm not worried about the plane crashing but everything else is getting too uncertain and inconvenient for my liking.

Re: Objections to Flying
I have no objection to flying. It's always a pain, but then, so is driving for long periods of time.

Re: Objections to Flying
My only objection to flying is the rigmarole that comes with all that airport "go-go-go". Scanners and alarms, tickets, running late - about to miss your flight, delayed flights or arrivals, etc. etc.
Still I have to agree, If I'm traveling outside Jersey at all, it's on a plane.

You'd fly to Philly from West Orange?
