    My mom was in college when that happened. She said she remembers classes being cancelled.

    I was in the Air Force at Kelly Air Force Base, San Antonio, where I watched Air Force-1 take off for Dallas.

    We were put on Red Alert, whatever that meant, other than we couldn't leave base.

    My Mom was teaching when they got the news. Classes weren't stopped, as we're in Canada, but she said everyone was so shocked and saddened.
