Over the past few years there have breakthroughs in development for male oral contraceptives (birth control pills.)

If one day male birth control pills become as effective and readily available as female oral contraceptives, would we (A) see less and less unwanted births and (B) fewer deadbeat/absentee fathers?

Depends on if the men actually take them. If they can't remember to bring the damn condoms how are they going to remember to take a pill every month?

    (C) You would see more STDs, because too many dudes would try and make popping a pill an adequate replacement for condoms.

As to the question....probably not. Birth control and condoms have been around for over 100 years....and still there are a bunch of bastard kids running around. This would just be another option for the parties involved to neglect or screw up.

I would prefer to use the condoms, no way am I swallowing any kind of pill that probably has 10 horrible side effects.

That's my thought. And I agree that there'd be more STDs as a result too. Men would stop wearing condoms and they'd still be sleeping around. All in all, male BCPs, another bad idea.
