I've seen a few episodes. It's "cute", but nothing I could ever consider "must see TV".

It came on one night, when we just happened to have that channel on, and I don't see what the hype is about. I have no desire to check out a second installment.

Just saw this thread, yes I watch Glee, love it!!! The last episode was great, especially the wedding when they sang "I want to Marry you"

Do you need to have watched all along to really keep up? Part of me is kinda interested in checking out an episode but another part of me avoids the show because I never bothered to watch before and I don't wanna be lost.

You can watch and become familiar with the characters you would eventually get the drift of who is who and what is what. They have flashbacks to the 1st season sometimes in the beginning of the show.

I just started watching this year but got hooked over the summer by watching reruns. You could probably just start watching, as each eppy, while it does continue, can be viewed mostly on its own. I mean - it's a series, so the shows are connected, but I've found it's not that hard to catch up if you miss an eppy.
The singers on the show are great! I love the dynamics and the issues the show deals with.

I loved that eppy, too! It was a different twist, with the wedding being the focus, but I loved it!!!! I loved the speech Finn's Mom gave, too, about how luck she was to be welcoming two men into her family. I loved having Glee be a part of it, but really, could they have had the wedding without them? LOL!

Yeah they could have had the wedding without them but it was fun having the Glee be a part of it.
Loved Rachel's and Kurt's version of "Don't cry for me Argentina" last night. Their rendition of "I've had the time of my life" was just awesome. I am a bit tired of Rachel whining all the time but I guess thats her character.
I got hooked last season when I saw them do Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" from then on I watched and caught up when the re-runs were on.

Oh wow - yeah - I love Andrew Lloyd Webber, so when they started singing "Don't Cry for me Argentina" - WOW!!!! Very appropriate song, too.
LOL - it's a great show and I've noticed and increase in commercials in which people are signing "Glee style", so it shows the impact the show is having.
How long do you think Kurt will last at Dalton Academy? I think eventually he's going to realize he misses his old "Glee club" and go back and confront the bully.

I saw signs last episode of Kurt being disappointed cause he is not the Diva over at Dalton like he was in his other Glee Club. I give him a couple of more episodes before he heads back. Who knows maybe him and the Bully will become boyfriends??

Yeah - i think it'll be a couple more eppies, too. I think he might hook up with that Dalton kid. I think once he goes back, the truth about the bully will come out in some way and he'll be on the receiving end of the same kind of treatment he dished out to Kurt. It would be interesting if they hooked up, but I don't know if they'd put Kurt with someone who's been so abusive to him.
LOVED the holiday eppy - wow!!!! I think this is one of my fav. eppies.

After all the "will-they-or-won't-they," it looks like Kurt and Blaine just might on the Valentine's Day episode of "Glee": TV Guide reports that the Dalton Academy duo are expected to officially embark on a romance in a show airing February 8.
When the character of Blaine (Darren Criss) was first introduced on the hit Fox series in November, it was rumored he would be a potential love interest for McKinley High student Kurt (Chris Colfer). And though Kurt has pined for Blaine and gotten closer to him by transferring to Dalton, the two have remained just friends – until now.
According to TV Guide, the Cupid's Day episode will feature the pair singing Robin Thicke's "When I Get You Alone" outside a Gap store just as Blaine is preparing to finally profess his love to Kurt.
While 20-year-old Colfer didn't exactly confirm the storyline, he did hint that things could be heating up for the tuneful twosome. "There might be a development," he said coyly.

Victoria Jackson is a moron.
And I am a total Gleek!
Sick to death of the Warblers -- can't wait for Kurt to go back to New Directions.
Anyone else as naive as I was and didn't realize that when you say New Directions it actually sounds like Nude Erections? Someone pointed that out last week, and I was like, DUH! ::headsmack::

'Glee' Beats The Beatles Singles Record on Billboard Hot 100 by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 7th 2010 12:00PM
John, Paul, George and Ringo have been bested by Rachel, Finn, Kurt and Mercedes. Yep, Fox's smash hit musical comedy, 'Glee,' has created more hit singles than the legendary Beatles.
According to Fox, 'Glee' has broken the record for the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 by a non-solo act.
The latest episode, 'Grilled Cheesus,' which happened to feature a tune from The Beatles, produced six new entries to the Billboard list. That makes 75 entries for 'Glee' -- The Beatles once topped the charts with 71. TV Guide reports that since 'Glee' debuted in May 2009, it's sold 11.5 million downloads and 2.8 million albums.
The only obstacles standing in 'Glee's' way of total Billboard domination are the records of Elvis Presley and James Brown. With almost a whole season to go, 'Glee' may overtake those iconic performers by year's end.

So funny you posted this....when I read this headline months ago, I thought about posting about it, but did not want to piss off any Glee fans with my thoughts on the topic.
I don't think it is an equal comparison at all. There has to be a respectful comparison in the records to me. Maybe I am being too old fashioned, but I think it is stupid to compare the Glee works to anything anywhere near the Beatles.

Thought I'd replied to this but ITA that it's not a fair comparison. It's like comparing apples and oranges,. They're both round and they're both fruit, but beyond that... well - you just can't compare them. I love Glee but you just can't compare them to an original act like The Beatles.

I agree, the Glee songs are cute but the Beatles are legends and the Glee Club will eventually just fade away, not so with the Beatles.
