Pizza's my favorite, or rather most frequent Italian food, but I have to say that I'm also in love with Chicken Cacciatore.

Lasagna.

I have a number of favorite Italian dishes.

- Spaghetti with meatballs
- Fettucine Alfredo
- Thin crust pizza
- Lasagna
- Baked-Eggplant Parmesan

I love everything from Pasta to Pizza to Eggplant Rollitini and Pasta Fagiola. Other favorites:

Steak Pizzaola
Spaghetti al oila
Torttelini with Alfedo
prosuiciotto Bread
Lard Bread
Cavetelli with wine sauce

I love Italian food! I voted for pizza as my very favorite though - there's just nothing like a Chicago Deepdish Pizza. Chicken Fettuccini is a close second.

So much! So much!

My grandmother used to make a pot of gravy (sauce) every Sunday. In that pot she always had a piece of Braciola that was out of this world.

- Gnocchi

- Veal parm

- Anything covered in a good vodka sauce

- Pasta consardi (for all the old skool Sicilians lol)

- Ravioli

- Egg plant parm

I could go on. it would probably be shorter to list what I don't love!

I don't know why, but I find Chicken Cacciatore painfully overrated in restaurants. I love lasagna and Eggplant Rollatini.

Ah Robbie I forgot about Brasciola, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm my sister makes it from time to time and Mama used to put it in the gravy every sunday.

If made right Chicken Cacciatore can be really good!

I've only had it in restaurants. Well there, and in frozen TV dinners (which undoubtedly is an insult to the real thing.)

There was a little Italian Restaurant down in Greenwich Village that was owned by Mom and Pop and they used to make the best CC, everyone used to go there just for that.

Because the tomato is a fruit, having a typical slice of pizza is kind of like having a slice of apple pie with a melted slice of cheese.

LOL. Tony, who are you...Dan Quayle? I don't know about a tomatoe but a tomato is botanically a fruit. Come to think of it, it’s a berry. So when you have a Bloody Mary, you’re having a fruit cocktail.

Botanically it is a fruit, same as eggplant and peppers. But not many ppl want any of those in their fruit cocktail.

I luuuuuvvvvvv it! Just thinking about it makes me salivate.

Any pasta in a carbonara sauce, a caprese (sp?) sauce, or a spicy tomato and bacon sauce...Or anything with lots of cheese!

I think I'm in the mood for some Italian food this weekend.
