How long have you known your best friends?

I have been really bent on contemplating best friendships as of late. I retained two close friendships since later elementary, but one of the two really showed her true self to me recently. So, I have had her and another for over 20 years.

But my best friend, less one of the elementary/h.s. friends has known me as an adult, with all my quirks for five years. I value her as much as I do the "older" friends.

I have one friend that I would really classify as a best friend, and she and I have been friends for about 4 and half years now.

A couple I've had since high school. we only see each other when I' home for the holidays, but we still keep in contact through facebook. I have another friend that Iv'e had for... maybe 6 or 7 years now? We don't live in the same city but keep in close contact and I have one friend form elementary school but we mainly just send Christmas cards, as she never gets around to giving my her e-mail address and she doesn't seem to be on facebook.

My best friend and I have been besties since we were 13, and we're 31 now so 18 years? My other 2 best friends I've known since our kids were in co-op together 5 years ago.

One of my best friends i knew since I was 8, the other I met when I was 15.

Two of them I have known since we were about nine years old. Another I met at work.

The oldest one.....about 13 years.

only person I would consider my best friend i've known for well over 15 years, but we didn't become tight til about 5 or years ago.
