Not counting the woman I was with for 20 years who I consider my best friend, even tho we were fucking regularly, nor the man I was with for five years, I guess the rest of my best friends had cocks.
In the Hippy days I was friends with various communal ppl, mostly drawn in by the females but seemed to bond more with the guys. I think overall my friendships have been with guys, especially gay guys even those not having sex with.

Hmmm its different levels of comfort, with my guy friends well you know how it is you can let it all go, with my female friends I tend to be a bit more respectful of them.

Men definitely. I have more male friends than female and it's always been that way.

Up until my teens it was a mixture of both, but since then I've always been friends with men and I prefer it that way. I've never had a female friend in my adult life (except for my Mom.) Women get out their claws and can be very vicious.

Women for me, though I've had good friendships with guys, but when it comes to being able to really share what's going on and when I need support, its my woman friends I turn to.

Men. Because I'm naturally inclined to watch my language and reactions around women, plus at some point the man/woman push pull is gonna come into play with women, even when they're only platonic. It's like what Billy Crystal said in When Harry Met Sally. Most of the time (Straight) Men and Women can't be 100% platonic.

On average, women. At work, though, I get along better and pal around more with my male co-workers.
