One Life to Live Scoops & Spoilers
Previews for the week of 10-Jan-2011
    by Carol Banks Weber

    • Jessica listens to Brody and Viki, having that C-section and having that baby boy, who turns out healthy.

    • When Brody cradles his firstborn son, he turns into mush.

    • Marty changes her mind, backtracks, and assists with Natalie’s unexpected delivery.

    • With Marty’s assistance, and despite a breach birth, Natalie pushes out a healthy baby boy.

    • John follows his nose to Natalie’s car, parked beside the Lodge.

    • Natalie cannot enjoy her splendor much, because she’s too wrapped up in worrying that Marty will tell on her.

    • John appears on the spot just in time to hold his and Natalie’s baby. Marty comes over and places the newborn in his arms. This moment holds a lot of meaning for John.

    • Marty acts like she and John are the parents of a healthy baby boy, not Natalie.

    • Marty dooms herself and all credibility by maintaining that she and John have a new son and Natalie was trying to take Marty hostage and take the baby for her own.

    • Natalie uses Marty’s delusional babblings to distract John from the truth.

    • John has Natalie and their baby receive proper follow-up care at the hospital. Natalie gets to be with Jessica and check out her newborn nephew.

    • But as soon as Brody goes near Natalie’s newborn, picking it up and gazing down upon it, she’s inwardly freaking out again.

    • Natalie notices Marty softening toward her and the newborn, hoping this means the coast is clear.

    • Viki and Clint beam from ear to ear at the double blessing of Natalie and Jessica’s deliveries.

    • But Marty is about to board the crazy train. She honestly believes that’s her newborn with John.

    • Roxy takes up some issues with Marty, trying to be loyal to Natalie.

    • Marty clobbers Roxy, wrapping her up and stuffing her somewhere at the hospital.

    • Marty approaches the hospital nursery, spinning out of control.

    • Tea relays to Todd that she believes Nate is only coming forward as Eddie’s killer so his mom Inez doesn’t have to suffer.

    • Todd runs it up the flagpole with Dani, but Dani wants to know if Todd actually gunned Eddie down.

    • Todd bristles at Dani’s accusation about Eddie. He has his daughter head to the courtroom already.

    • Todd goes around unearthing proof of what really happened and who tried to set him up as Eddie’s killer.

    • Inez turns in her notice.

    • Inez tries to support her son Nate at the courtroom.

    • Tea puts Inez on the spot about her role in Eddie’s murder.

    • Inez deftly evades Tea’s artful grilling by taking on the put-upon, offended role.

    • Nora spews pent-up vitriol on Clint, while Matthew leans in for every word nearby.

    • To Nora’s thinking, Clint is just loving this as the best revenge.

    • Tea shares with Nora her theory that Inez was the one who offed Eddie, not Nate.

    • Ford and James try to get an imprisoned Nate to confess who really did it.

    • Dani and Starr prevail upon Detective Price to let them in to see Nate in lockup.

    • Back in the courtroom, Todd makes a huge charge against someone that has jaws dropping. Todd points to Nate. And he has proof, too.

    • Someone new winds up in handcuffs for Eddie’s killing.

    • Thirst of an unquenchable kind threatens to take over recovering alcoholic Charlie.

    • The father/son relationship between Charlie and Rex warms Echo’s heart.

    • Slowly, ever-so-slowly, Rex starts coming around with Echo.

    • Echo can barely handle the burden of hiding the truth about Rex’s dad.

    • Dorian attends an AA meeting in disguise.

    • Weighed by guilt, Echo proceeds to confess who Rex’s real father is when she notices Dorian in disguise.

    • Echo disarms and unveils Dorian for who she is at the AA meeting.

    • Dorian, in turn, tries to coerce Echo to reveal to Clint, Rex, and Charlie who the father really is.

    • Echo comes too close to spilling the paternity beans on Rex and Charlie both.

    • Rex digs into what Inez means to Clint. But Clint stonewalls Rex.

    • Rex naively thinks Clint will jump on board to help discover whether Inez really slept with Bo or not. But Clint won’t play ball.

    • Rex finds himself loathing Clint more and more each day.

    • Clint relaxes, benefiting from Matthew’s discretion (about Clint accusing Bo earlier of being with Inez). Glad of it.

    • Rex informs Bo of Inez’s lying and possible murder of Eddie, by proffering a copy of her prescription signed off on by Marty. This prescription could’ve been used on Bo to carry out Inez’s fraud.

    • Aubrey carries on with her boy toy Cutter.

    • Rex helps Kelly unearth the nastiest scuttlebutt against Aubrey: a magazine spread of her flouncing around with another.

    • Kelly confronts Joey with the magazine spread, hoping this will deter him from continuing on with Aubrey.

    • After having had enough of Kelly’s harping, Joey goes to the wall for his fiancée Aubrey. Deep inside, though, Joey isn’t so sure.

    • Kelly reports Joey’s disappointing response to Rex.

    • Joey asks Aubrey what’s going on with her and this dude in the photo spread?

    • Cutter deliberately misleads Joey with the falsehood that he’s related to Aubrey, not a boy toy. Aubrey plays along.

    • Joey believes Cutter’s falsehood. Aubrey can rest another day.

    • Aubrey continues to dread Kelly’s next move.

    • Dorian exhorts Kelly to keep at Joey. Who knows, there could be a miracle reunion at Aubrey’s expense.

    • Kelly happens upon this Cutter person Aubrey knows so well.

    • Todd and Tea are involved in something when Blair comes by, needing Todd.

    • Blair prevails upon Todd to think if this oil painting rings any bells with him.

    • Blair relies on Cristian to be by her side during the Eli box/oil painting adventure.

    • Cris has some news for Blair about the painting, and where it leads them next.

    • Starr privately discusses her feelings about James with Langston. In this discussion, she allows that she must let James play the field.

    • Michelle asks James out to a sorority dance.

    • Next week: Blair and Cristian go to Paris to pursue the meaning of the oil painting… While in Paris, Cris and Blair will see Layla and a new character named Tomas (played by Ted King/ex-Luis, Lorezno GH)… Tomas will know another character already in Llanview… Inez comes clean with Bo and Nora… Bo and Nora will soon find Clint out… Inez tries to out Clint as the puppetmaster to all this evil… Bo has a man-to-man talk with Clint, to get to the bottom of this mess… Bo plots an ambush of Clint… Echo deals with Clint, trying to get him to talk about Dorian and her theories… Watching James go out with someone else aggravates Starr, who lets it show… Marty keeps becoming unraveled mentally… Kelly meets Cutter while taking a steam bath. Hot!... Cutter puts his lips on Kelly’s… Kelly tries to enlist Ford into doing something for her.
