| Are you likely to still be hanging on, years later, to the upset someone caused you, or are you more prone to resolve it in your mind and move on? | |

| I do hold grudges but i'm quick to forgive. No matter how bad somebody treated me IF they say sorry then i'm willing to be friends but if they never apologized then I stay mad. | |

| I can but try to not do it if I really want to remain friends with them. It can have an effect on how much I'm able to trust them though, especially if they seem to have no regret about it. | |

| I am better about it now that I am older. I see that sometimes it is better to keep the peace then to hold on to something, especially if I have friendships in common with them.
My oldest friend really screwed me over a month ago. Never expected it from her. My high school best friend is also her friend, so a couple weeks ago, I just told her that we're good, but really I won't ever be the same toward her unless she comes clean to me about her behavior. Ten years ago, I would have never, ever just made peace to keep the peace. It would have been a good three four years before I even would have contacted her. | |

| I CAN'T hold a grudge. I've tried, but over time my view softens and I can't stay mad. | |

| No. Holding grudges is self-victimization and borderline masochistic. It does only eats at the grudge holder, does nothing to the one that they are embittered at. I don't have to like someone who acted rotten towards me, but I try to not allow them to trample through my peaceful mind, if it's at all avoidable. | |

| ^^^^ . Unless someone slept with your man or woman or stole from you or some shit, most stuff that people usually hold grudges over are petty. | |

| I'm good at holding them when the fallout is fresh, but do have a cut off point where I start becoming apathetic. | |
